About Us
Friends of Pleasant Hill Creeks is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization of Pleasant Hill residents who care about our creeks. Our mission is to engage community members in protecting, restoring, and enjoying our creeks and adjoining open space. We are a project of Social and Environmental Entrepreneurs, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are honored to be recognized as a Pleasant Hill Community Green Award winner. "This Award recognizes a person, organization or business that has shown outstanding leadership in sustainability and protecting the environment in one or more of the following areas: energy conservation, water conservation, waste reduction and/or pollution prevention." To learn more and get involved please email us at [email protected]. About Our Creeks Two creeks flow through the City of Pleasant Hill: Grayson Creek and Murderer's Creek. Together these creeks are part of the Grayson Creek Watershed, which begins in the Briones Hills. Our creeks flow from Briones through Pleasant Hill into Walnut Creek and then eventually into Suisun Bay. Our watershed is part of of the Walnut Creek Watershed, the largest watershed in Contra Costa County.
